One-of-a-Kind Forest Child Sculpture
It is said that snowdrops follow the warmth of Eirlys’s light and that they would not rise without it.
When her work is done and the snowdrops stand strong on their own, Eirlys returns to her hidden nest of woven willow and moss, a dwelling she has made and remade with the turning seasons. There she waits listening out for the thaw, until the forest calls for her once more.
Eirlys is entirely hand sculpted and hand painted by myself, without the use of molds or casts. She is a true one-of-a-kind artwork, created slowly and with deep intention. She will never be recreated.
She sits within a handwoven nest, crafted by myself from willow and organic moss. The nest can either hang from its attached rope or rest beautifully on a flat surface, making her versatile for display.
In her hands, she holds a glowing snowdrop lantern, softly illuminated by battery power. The battery pack is positioned at the back of the nest.
